Released 1.7.2beta2
I’ve released a small update as version 1.7.2beta2. I hope to release 1.7.2 (official) soon if no problems are found in this beta.
Features:
- Added preference “Pop-up Takes Keyboard Focus”:
When on (the default) the pop-up takes keyboard focus from the web page so you’ll realize typing is for the pop-up’s hotkeys, not the web page. The pop-up closes when it loses keyboard focus.
Turn off if you’re having trouble with the pop-up closing immediately or if a web page’s pop-up menus close when the Thumbnail Zoom Plus pop-up appears (eg on certain Linux machines).
Supported sites:
- Added instantwatcher.com
- Prevented pop-ups from my.xmarks.com
- deviantart.com: fixed problem with the site’s Friends and Groups pop-up menus
- google.com: prevented Google logo from showing as pop-up.
- Added photosight.com (previously only had photosight.ru)

Thumbnail Zoom Plus 
Hi. Thanks for your great work. I like to inquire on how to solve the problem I’m facing. When i save the picture with thumbnail plus, the size of the picture is bigger than i normal save the files. Any site i went to faced this problem. How to solve it? Thanks as always!
Hello, thanks for writing. “Save” making files larger is a known problem in all versions of TZP so far. You can track the issue at https://github.com/dadler/thumbnail-zoom/issues/62 .
The best workaround is to press “t” or “w” to open the image in a new tab or window, and then Control S (or Command S on mac) to use Firefox’s File > Save command to save the file. Then press Control W or Command W to close the tab or window.
Is there any option to enable to save jpg in the future? Hopefully there is. Thank you for your hard work..
Yes, I plan to fix it to let you save in whatever format the original image is, and at the same size as the original.

Great extension. But after upgrade happens that after zooming a picture the pages goes to the top. tanks for your work.
Thanks for the feedback. Can you describe more how I might make the problem happen and exactly what happens when it happens? EG are you saying the web page scrolls up to the top when hover the mouse over a thumb/link? Or when you press “+” to zoom it larger?
Does this happen on a variety of web sites, or one in particular? Which operating system do you use (windows, mac, or Linux)?
Are you using the beta (1.7.2beta2)? What was the most recent version you used which did not have the problem?
In 1.7.2beta2, does turning off the Thumbnail Zoom Plus preference “Pop-up takes keyboard focus” prevent the problem?
