3.6beta6 fixes more Facebook issues and Yelp

Version 3.6beta6 fixes some more problems with Facebook profiles and photos.  It also fixes Yelp.  This is a release candidate for 3.6 official.

There are still some places where Facebook profile pop-ups don’t work, such as chat.

3.6beta2 fixes Facebook profile pictures

I’ve released version 3.6beta2, which fixes the problem showing Facebook profile pictures. The fix for cover photos will come later.

Thumbnail Zoom Plus 3.6beta1

I’ve released version 3.6beta1 with these changes since 3.5:

• Site  additions:
  • Added alpha.wallhaven.cc
• Other changes:
  • Removed hotkey ‘d’ (set default zoom).
  • Partial support for Firefox Nightly with Multiprocess Firefox enabled (“e10s”).

New TZP release fixes OS X transparency, etc.

I’ve released a new version “3.5.1-signed” for all users with these changes since 3.4:

Bug Fixes:

• Fixes problem on OS X Yosemite with the pop-up’s transparency in Firefox 38 and newer.  Caused the pop-up to appear too dark.
• Fixes image rotation; now obeys JPEG EXIF image rotation info.

Site changes:

• added familyhandyman.com
• fixed error indicator on certain wikipedia.com links.

This is the same as version 3.5beta1, but now released for all users.

  • Button now shows correct disabled/enabled status.

Https-everywhere is incompatible with TZP in ff 37

For the last few weeks I’ve been getting reports that TZP isn’t working, and sometimes displays the yellow “!” error sign instead of a pop-up.  I recently discovered that the problem is the new version of the “https-everywhere” add-on. TZP worked fine with the previous version (https-everywhere 4.0.3) but breaks with the new version (https-everywhere 5.0.0 or 5.0.2).

They DO seem to work OK in Firefox Beta 38.0 so that’s a workaround if you don’t want to disable https-everywhere.

I’ve filed a bug with https-everywhere and in my own bug tracker.

Thumbnail Zoom Plus 3.3 is now released.  Changes since 3.2:

• google docs is now supported: shows pop-ups for images embedded in google docs documents.
• imgur.com: fixed (thanks to Hakkin Lain & Jan02).
• dropbox.com is now supported.
• outlook.com: Fixed problem which caused outlook.com to report an error.  Thanks to Matt Nadareski.
• non-US ebay sites such as ebay.es and ebay.com.uk are now supported. Thanks to J.G.
• giphy.com is now supported.
• pinterest.com fixed

Bug fixes:

• Fixed: works around Firefox bug 1089297 which sometimes caused high CPU usage, battery drain, fan noise, or “coil whine” on Windows.
• Fixed: saving an image with the “s” key or “Save Full-size Image As” right-click menu broke Firefox 36.
• Fixed problem on OS X where pop-ups in full-screen mode switched desktops.
